If you’ve been searching for front-end alignment near me, don’t wait — misalignment is one of the most expensive problems to ignore. Four Wheel Alignment Near Me

Wheel alignment is one of those services that’s easy to put off because the problem develops gradually — a slight pull to one side, tires that wear a little faster than expected, steering that doesn’t quite feel centered. By the time those symptoms are obvious, you’ve often already lost significant tire life and put unnecessary.

Searching for a front-end alignment near me? At Midas North Dartmouth, we use computerized alignment equipment to measure your vehicle’s camber, caster, and toe angles precisely—then adjust them to manufacturer specification. Every alignment at 276 State Road includes a pre-alignment inspection of steering and suspension components, because an alignment on a vehicle with worn tie rod ends or ball joints won’t hold. We check the components first and tell you what we find before any work begins.

Walk-ins are welcome. Appointments are recommended and easy to schedule — call us at (774) 377-9037 or book online below.

Don't Wait on These

Signs Your Alignment Needs Service Now

Alignment problems rarely announce themselves dramatically — they build gradually and compound over time. New England road conditions accelerate the damage. If you’re experiencing any of these in Dartmouth, Fairhaven, or anywhere on the SouthCoast, bring it in.

Massachusetts roads are particularly hard on alignment. Winter frost heaves, spring potholes, and the general state of local roads create more alignment-disrupting impacts than drivers in warmer climates face. We recommend an alignment check at least twice a year — and any time new tires are installed, to protect that investment from day one.

What We Do

Alignment Services at North Dartmouth, MA

Every alignment at Midas North Dartmouth starts with a computerized measurement of your current angles. You’ll see exactly where your vehicle stands before we adjust anything.

Four Wheel

Four Wheel Alignment

A four-wheel alignment measures and adjusts all four corners of the vehicle—front and rear. Required for most all-wheel-drive vehicles and any vehicle with an independently adjustable rear suspension. Provides the most complete alignment correction available.

Steering

Steering & Suspension Angle Correction

Our technicians verify and adjust the vehicle’s alignment angles as a complete system, including camber, caster, toe, and thrust angle where applicable. This helps the vehicle track straighter, reduces uneven tire wear, and supports better steering response.

Thrust Angle

Thrust Angle Alignment

The thrust angle measures how the rear axle is positioned relative to the vehicle’s centerline. A rear axle that’s not pointing straight adds a “dog tracking” effect—the vehicle crab-walks slightly sideways. We correct the thrust angle on vehicles where rear adjustment is limited.

Check

Alignment Check

Not sure if your alignment is off? We’ll put your vehicle on the alignment rack and measure all four angles — at no charge. You’ll get a printout showing where you stand and what, if anything, needs correction. No pressure to authorize anything on the spot.

Post-Repair

Alignment After Suspension Work

Struts, control arms, tie rod ends, ball joints, and steering rack replacement all require a follow-up alignment. We include an alignment in our suspension repair process at 276 State Road because skipping it means the suspension repair doesn’t perform as designed.

Pre-Check

Pre-Alignment Inspection

Before every alignment, we inspect the steering and suspension components that affect alignment angles. Worn tie rod ends, loose ball joints, or a damaged control arm bushing will prevent an alignment from holding. We find these issues first so the alignment lasts.

From the Shop Floor

What Does Wheel Alignment Actually Cost — and What Does It Protect?

As a certified technician, the most important thing I tell customers about wheel alignment cost is this—an alignment here typically runs $129 for a four‑wheel alignment, depending on the vehicle. A set of tires runs $400 to $800 or more. Even a small amount of toe‑out can scrub the tread and wear through a set of tires thousands of miles faster than properly aligned tires. The math isn’t complicated.

The other thing that matters is what I check before I align anything. Our computerized alignment system takes a full measurement of all four wheels and produces a before‑and‑after printout you can keep. But that measurement only tells part of the story. If your tie rod end has play in it, or your control arm bushing is cracked, the alignment will come back out of spec within a few hundred miles. I inspect the steering and suspension components first every time — and if something needs attention, you’ll hear about it before any money is spent on the alignment itself.

One thing SouthCoast drivers should know: the roads here are genuinely rough in winter and spring. I see more alignment issues in March and April than any other time of year. If you’re putting on new tires this spring, add an alignment — it protects the tires from day one and is far less expensive than replacing a set that wore out prematurely because of a problem that was already there when the tires went on.

Who We Service

SouthCoast Drivers We See Every Day

Vehicles parked along the beach in Southcoast Massachusetts

The vehicles SouthCoast families actually drive — Toyota RAV4, Ram pickup, and the full mix we see at 276 State Road every week.

If you drive around Dartmouth, Fairhaven, or New Bedford, you already know what’s on the road here. The Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V are the most registered vehicles in Massachusetts — and we see both constantly for alignment after the spring pothole season. Ford F-150s, Ram 1500s, and Toyota Tacomas come in regularly too — trucks take harder hits on rough roads and benefit from alignment checks after hard use.

Every alignment we perform uses your vehicle’s specific manufacturer specifications — not generic settings. A Toyota RAV4 and a Ford F-150 have completely different alignment specs, different suspension geometries, and different adjustment points. We set every vehicle to spec.

Common Questions

Wheel Alignment FAQ

Straight answers to the questions we hear most at the Dartmouth shop.

A four-wheel alignment costs $129. We also offer a free computerized alignment check — we'll measure your angles and show you the results with no obligation to approve any work. Call us at (774) 377-9037 for current pricing or check our coupons above for current savings offers.

Midas recommends an alignment check at least once a year and any time new tires are installed. Given South Coast road conditions—frost heaves, potholes, and rough spring roads—we also recommend a check after any significant impact. If you're noticing pulling, uneven tire wear, or an off-center steering wheel, don't wait for the annual interval. Bring it in and we'll check it at no charge.

Yes — and it's one of the best investments you can make when purchasing new tires. If your alignment is off when new tires are put on, the misalignment immediately begins to wear them unevenly. A $100 alignment can add 10,000 to 15,000 miles of life to a set of tires. We recommend combining new tire installation with an alignment check at minimum and a full alignment if the check reveals any angles out of spec.

A persistent pull after an alignment usually means one of three things: unequal tire pressure between the left and right tires, a tire with internal damage or irregular wear pattern that causes it to pull regardless of alignment, or a suspension component issue that prevented the alignment from fully correcting. We check these factors before and during every alignment—if a pull persists after our service, bring it back and we'll investigate at no additional charge.

Yes — every time, without exception. Worn tie rod ends, loose ball joints, damaged control arm bushings, or a bent component will prevent an alignment from holding. Aligning a vehicle with worn steering or suspension components is a waste of money — the angles will drift back out of spec quickly. We inspect the relevant components first, show you what we find, and let you make an informed decision before any alignment work begins.

Straight Angles. Straight Answers.

Don’t let misalignment silently destroy your tires and compromise your handling. Schedule an alignment at Midas North Dartmouth — or start with a free alignment check. We’ll tell you exactly where you stand.
